Today’s Outfit: Cognac Tones

Photography by Joshua Allen Green

Outfit details: Top: Lovers + Friends c/o Moderne; Shorts: Maurie & Eve c/o Melt Management; Jacket: Zara (similar); Boots: gifted MyHotShoes

Happy Friday!!! I still can’t believe how hot it is in San Diego ahh! I hope it ends soon.  Besides that, I met with my good friend Pam who owns the amazing California Vintage Connect!  It was great to catch up and I can’t wait to share with you our upcoming project!! SOO excited. <3 My weekend is filled with photoshoots and hopefully SOME relaxation. ;)

Today’s outfit is all about how you can use earth tones for the Summer season as well!  I love these printed shorts from Maurie & Eve, loose flowy Lovers + Friends blouse that I tucked in and pulled it all together with a skinny waist belt.  I toughened it up with a cognac leather jacket that has a great vintage feel to it!

Have a great weekend lovelies!

Today’s Outfit: Working 9 to 5

Photography by Krissy Fernandez of JUNK & PO

Outfit details: Jacket: ELLIATT c/o Melt Management; Skirt: c/o YA Los Angeles; Denim shirt: BDG; Bag: Questhaven Fashions; Sandals: Madden Girl; Necklace: Forever 21

Even though it’s still blazing hot outside I already have Fall fashion on my mind!  Fall has to be my favorite season, I love all of the layers, earth tones, rust colors, and the crisp cold weather. I decided to mesh Summer and Pre-Fall together in this look!  This waterfall beige coat from ELLIATT is insane.  The shape, the way it falls, and the color is a must-have statement coat this Fall!  I combined the two seasons together by pairing the coat with a denim shirt (that is a closet essential!), an asymmetrical skirt (Summer trend) and fun sandals!

Happy Hump Day! Two more days until the weekend! <3

Featured: Marshalls

This past Wednesday I was featured on Marshalls’ Facebook page!! I bought this adorable Free People dress from Marshalls about 2 months ago and fell in love when I first saw it.  The sheer sleeves, ruched bodice, and adorable lilac color was the perfect romantic-dress for Summer.

It was originally $180 but I got it for $59.99! Great deal right?? Marshalls is one of my go-to stores for finding trendy AND affordable pieces.  The best part is they get new inventory every week so it’s good to stop by at least once a week to see their new arrivals before they sell out!

You can see the entire feature HERE.  Thanks so much for reading! <3

Happy first of the month everyone!! Can you believe it’s already June?! Where has the time gone?  It’s time for beach days, short shorts, and strolling around downtown La Jolla soaking up the gorgeous San Diego sun! :) Here are my favorite looks from the month of May!  I definitely experimented with more color, prints, and textures!  It was a month of risk taking and I can’t wait to take it to the next level this month!!

Have a great Friday!

Lusting Over: Silk & Cotton Separates

Top row, L-R: Isabel Marant, $324; J.Crew, $100; Michael Kors, $225; Bottom row, L-R: Markus Lupfer, $132; ASOS, $70; ASOS, $130.

Lately, the consistent 70 degree weather days have made me crave more shorts, loose blouses, and sandals more and more.  I’m loving cotton and silk separates this season, it’s lightweight and easy to mix and match different layers together for a unique, summer worthy look. ;) How amazing is this Isabel Marant jacket?? The shape, the prints, the colors…it NEEDS to be in my closet now! Dare to mix prints and colors this Summer, this outfit achieves a subtle way to incorporate prints and colors together.  The trick to pulling this off is to pair prints that are in the same color family.

Today’s Outfit: Nautical Stripes

Photography by Joshua Allen Green

Outfit details: Dress: gifted by SugarLips Apparel, Cover up: Cotton On (similar here), Wedges: Chinese Laundry (similar here), Necklace: Nordstrom, Hat: Forever 21

This nautical striped dress from SugarLips (Thank you Jacqueline and Rodellee!) is SOO comfortable, it is now my go-to dress for work and when I’m on location for photo shoots.  I love the design and it’s perfect for Spring/Summer. :) I went for a more laid-back look with the hat, loose cover up and fun wedges.

I had such a busy 3-day weekend, with a photo-shoot 3 days in a row I really felt exhausted but extremely thankful for the amazing opportunities! There definitely is no day off for my kind of work…and I secretly love it. ;) I will share some behind the scenes pics soon!
