Who else is obsessed with the neon craze this season?! I love this sheer neon cutout top from No Rest for Bridget, the high-low hem is on-trend and very flattering. I paired it with these leopard shorts from DJPremium, which are so comfortable and a perfect staple this season! :) I will definitely be wearing these shorts as long as I can.

Lusting Over: Silk & Cotton Separates

Lately, the consistent 70 degree weather days have made me crave more shorts, loose blouses, and sandals more and more.  I’m loving cotton and silk separates this season, it’s lightweight and easy to mix and match different layers together for a unique, summer worthy look. ;) How amazing is this Isabel Marant jacket?? The shape, the prints, the colors…it NEEDS to be in my closet now! Dare to mix prints and colors this Summer, this outfit achieves a subtle way to incorporate prints and colors together.  The trick to pulling this off is to pair prints that are in the same color family.

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Today’s outfit is a special one, I was asked to be the featured May Blogger for JCPenney‘s birthstones campaign! Since it was my birthday this month (as you may remember here), I was gifted this beautiful emerald necklace and gift card from JCPenney!  With the gift card, I bought this gorgeous pink/salmon loose blazer from MNG by Mango’s collection in the JCPenney stores! It fits so well and has a great shape that is a perfect layering piece for those Summer days! :) I will be featured on JCPenney’s Chictopia page later this week.  Thank you so much JCPenney, it was so much fun to shop and create a unique look that was inspired by my birthstone!

I also introduced a special guest in today’s post, my adorable yet crazy dog Buster!  He is such a model. ;)

I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day Weekend! It was so great to visit my family back in the Bay Area for a fun filled weekend!  Sunday was my sister’s Bridal Shower, which was Saved by the Bell/80′s themed! My boyfriend and I dressed up as Zack Morris and Kelly Kapowski. ;) Here are some of the pictures from the party:

Inspiration: Neutral + Neon

Neutral shades are perfect for these sunny days here in San Diego.  Time to wear lightweight layers and neutrals are the way to go for a timeless and classic look.  To make it more modern and on-trend, add a pop of neon color to your outfit!  I love this Chan Luu neon bracelet, the details are exquisite and have great texture!  I am in love with these Brian Atwood flats, these are the go-to flats for me since I’m always on the go!

Today’s Outfit: Ikat Prints for Days

I scored these Ikat printed pants (which are one of the big Spring trends!) from a local thrift store for only $10 and fell in love with the print, the fit, and how easy it makes such a huge statement! I decided to contrast the pants with a classic tweed jacket, and the spiked necklace and piles of bracelets edged up the entire outfit.

Guess who bought tickets to watch WICKED next month?! It was a birthday present to myself and I am soo excited to watch it with my boyfriend! :D Who has seen the play? My entire family saw and highly recommend it.

Yesterday was my older sister’s birthday, so first I want to greet her HAPPY BIRTHDAYYY!! ;) I’ll finally get to see her and the rest of my fam later this month when I visit for Memorial Day weekend, I’m so excited it’s been too long.

You won’t even BELIEVE how excited I was to get this jacket in the mail! It’s sheer, has a galaxy print, AND is a biker jacket…it’s simply perfection. I decided to play with the shades of blue/green in this jacket with this waterfall skirt, the teal bustier and a splash of neon (very big trend this season!)

And! I got an email from JCPenney yesterday for a project I can’t wait to share with you guys this month! Stay tuned ;)

Yes, there’s something different about me in today’s outfit post…I got hair extensions!!! ;) I asked my good friend Trai Nguyen who’s a hairstylist to help me dye hair extensions in an ombre effect.  It was my first time really experimenting with hair dyes, it was such a fun experience and I’m so anxious to get more extensions and wigs haha.

These leopard printed shorts and mint green blouse work so well together in such an unexpected way.  Both from No Rest for Bridget, which has the most trendy and affordable clothing, these two pieces are my staple pieces this Summer!

Happy Monday! I’m especially excited since this Saturday is my birthday (woot woot Cinco de Mayo!).  Can’t wait to spend time with my friends and loved ones <3

Today’s Outfit: Dipped in Floral

Isn’t it obvious how much I LOVE florals for Spring?! Haha ;) This gorgeous Lovers + Friends dress has the perfect floral print and the shape of this dress is extremely flattering and fits so well.  Mixing florals is another one of my fave trends, and these Jellypop shoes (which are INCREDIBLY comfortable and only $45 at DSW!) add the perfect touch to this look.  I accessorized with my gold vintage choker and piled on watches and bracelets.

Happy Wednesday!! This week has been pretty good for me, though its kinda gloomy in San Diego, I ain’t complaining. ;) I can’t wait to share with you a fun project I’ve been working on at my day job!! I’ll post it soon, stay tuned! <3
