NEW! Free People Short Film: Roshambo

Oh my goodness, after watching Free People‘s first ever short film for the February catalog I definitely feel like LOVE is in the air this Valentine’s day.  This short film, titled Roshambo, is a love story between a guy and a girl who have reconnected and have the time of their lives in none other than New York city! The beautiful model/actress Sheila Marquez and this handsome fella you might recognize from HBO’s Girls Christopher Abbott star truly make this short film shine. Hi guys!! Happy Superbowl Sunday!

I just wanted to share some outfits that I styled at work, now live on Free People! :)  It’s seriously such a great feeling to see the entire team’s hard work pay off on the website.  It’s been about a month now at Free People and everyday is a new and exciting challenge.   <3

Inspiration: Studio Apartment Decor

After moving to the east coast from California, it’s all about small studio apartments while living in downtown Philly! And with that said, I’ve been searching all over for inspiration and decorating ideas on how to make my studio apartment look amazing! I think I’m going to just make my apartment one big closet. :P I love how these images make clothing as home decor, it’s unique, artistic, and practical!

Monday, again?! Hahaha, the weekends keep going by faster and faster :P MY weekend was pretty eventful and definitely BUSY! Yesterday I styled a Holiday loookbook for Moderne with the owner, Janet, and it was AMAZING! We shot at the gorgeous restaurant, Burlap, in Del Mar (so if you’re a local in San Diego this is a must-see spot for brunch!!). We featured gorgeous dresses from Lovers + Friends and MINKPINK, which all be available on ShopModerne.com very soon.  After doing this lookbook, I instantly got more excited for the Holidays. It’s October already?!

This outfit is such a great outfit for work, brunch with friends, or even walking around in the city!  Can you believe that the jacket, top, AND skirt were all from a thrift store?! I think all of those pieces cost me less than $30. ;) I love how this JCrew skirt flares out at the bottom but is very fitted and polished at the top.  What do you think??

Who else is getting excited for Fall season to really begin? I love Olivia Palermo’s latest look that combines two of Fall’s biggest colors: mustard and burgundy.  This outfit is extremely easy to achieve yet looks very polished and well put together.  When looking for classic pieces, make sure that it fits you perfectly! I love how this look can work for several occasions: going to work, running errands, or out with friends. Have fun with these colors this season, enjoy!!

Inspiration: Desert Party Ready!

The best editorials are the ones you can’t stop looking at. Threadsence just released their newest Lookbook that was inspired by Coachella and I LOVE every single picture, outfit, etc etc!  However, I may sound biased since I’m especially proud that my good friends Nicole Hill (photographer) and KC Witkamp (makeup/hair) were a part of this shoot!  The outcome of this lookbook is amazing beyond words….I feel so humbled to have worked with these ladies several times, they are truly talented artists. :)   Check out some of my favorite shots, and see the entire lookbook on Threadsence.com now!

Inspiration: Effortless Chic

Alexa Chung is well known for her signature style of peter pan collars, clean silhouettes, and a touch of edge through her accessories.  I am such a huge fan of her effortless style that I had to create a similar go-to look on Polyvore for inspiration.  I’m going to definitely channel her style for my next couple of outfits.  Now all I gotta do is master that “effortless chic” quality and I’ll be good. ;)
