Hi everyone!  This week has been pretty intense for me, I’m so glad it’s finally FRIDAY! :) I am such an avid fan of pops of color in everything I wear, and this outfit is the prime example. This ROMWE blazer with the galaxy prints is such a fun statement piece to quickly throw on if you’re running out of outfit ideas.  I wanted to really showcase this blazer and paired it with textured black pieces, including these edgy booties I just bought!

Featured: JCPenney’s Chictopia Campaign

You might remember last week that I was featured as JCPenney‘s May blogger in their birthstones campaign! :) They gifted me with a gorgeous, dainty emerald necklace (my birthstone!) and a gift card in which I bought this pink MNG by Mango blazer.  They asked me a few questions about my blog and birthday plans in the feature as well.  You can read the entire feature here!

Today’s Outfit: JCPenney Birthstones Campaign

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Today’s outfit is a special one, I was asked to be the featured May Blogger for JCPenney‘s birthstones campaign! Since it was my birthday this month (as you may remember here), I was gifted this beautiful emerald necklace and gift card from JCPenney!  With the gift card, I bought this gorgeous pink/salmon loose blazer from MNG by Mango’s collection in the JCPenney stores! It fits so well and has a great shape that is a perfect layering piece for those Summer days! :) I will be featured on JCPenney’s Chictopia page later this week.  Thank you so much JCPenney, it was so much fun to shop and create a unique look that was inspired by my birthstone!

I also introduced a special guest in today’s post, my adorable yet crazy dog Buster!  He is such a model. ;)

I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day Weekend! It was so great to visit my family back in the Bay Area for a fun filled weekend!  Sunday was my sister’s Bridal Shower, which was Saved by the Bell/80′s themed! My boyfriend and I dressed up as Zack Morris and Kelly Kapowski. ;) Here are some of the pictures from the party:

Don’t you love my “I <3 Zack Morris” shirt?! Can’t believe I found it at the bottom of my drawers in my old room, I’ve had it since I was 15 haha!

Today’s Outfit: Daytime Elegance

WOOHOO It’s FRIDAY!! :) TGIF, except for the rain coming this afternoon haha. I am channeling “daytime elegance” for today’s outfit post with these gorgeous Lovers + Friends mesh body con dress and blazer.  This is definitely a night-appropriate outfit that can work for daytime with its nude and white colors. I am in love with the collar trend this season and this jewelry collar necklace from Forever 21 was the perfect finishing touch to this elegant outfit. :)

Also!  Looklab is an online styling website in which people get to ask fashion advice and tips from fashion insiders (I’m happy to be one of the fashion insiders!) from around the world. It’s such a great site to see what other fashion insiders suggest for people and it has recently been featured on the HUFFINGTON POST! :) Check out the article here!

Today’s Outfit: A Touch of Velvet

The beauty of velvet is that it can dress up anything.  This blazer has all of the my favorite features in one–it’s maroon, velvet, and fits soo well! I never thought I could wear a velvet jacket but this one definitely caught my eye.  It’s so gorgeous and works so well with this lacey top and sheer dress.  Once again, I had so much fun playing with these different textures and the overall look came out better than I expected. :)
