HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY BLOG! :)

AHH! I can’t believe it! It’s been a year since I started my fashion blog. :) I’m still in shock, has it really been a year?! Words can’t express how blessed I am to receive the opportunities I have with my blog.  I put blood, sweat and tears into this blog since the beginning and of course it’s paying off, big time. ;) I love connecting with YOU and listening to what you think of my outfits, style advice, etc!  Seriously, you all keep me going and I cannot thank you enough.

To celebrate the ONE YEAR, I posted my fave pic or defining moment from each month! Enjoy!

December 2011: My very first blog post, and one of my favorite pictures!

January: My first shoot with hair/makeup done by my amazing friend KC Witkamp! Lovedd the makeup/hair. <3

February: Made it onto the front page of LOOKBOOK.nu! This outfit was so much fun to put together, especially those red flats!!

March: One of my most popular outfits on Lookbook!

April: When I got sick of my hair and played with extensions. ;) lol!

May: My birthday month! And also the first time I was featured on Marshalls’ Facebook page! And of course, this dress from Marshalls was Free People. ;)

June: When I was asked to style all the mannequins at Mission Valley’s Nordstrom Rack!!

July: One of my favorite work-chic outfits I styled! I loved playing with all the layers.

August: Found such an awesome door and this royal blue matched perfectly!

September: When I fell in LOVE with the brand Maurie & Eve, thanks to Melt Management! <3

October: Finding out I’m featured on LUCKY Magazine’s November Issue!!! AHHH Milestone moment for me!

November: Unbelievably excited to find out I got the job at FREE PEOPLE! ;)

December: THANKFUL AND OVERJOYED with all my beautiful and loyal readers who have kept up with my blog since the beginning!! If it wasn’t for this blog I wouldn’t have had the opportunities I was given.  THANK YOU THANK YOU! <3 Love you all!!

Exciting news last week! I am now a part of Teen Vogue’s Fashion Click, which is a section on their website that highlights street style from their favorite fashion bloggers. Fashion Fridays: How to wear NEON!

Hi everyone!

I’m excited to announce a very special project I’ve been working on!  I recently partnered with Verve Management, an internet & social media marketing firm that specializes in the entertainment industry, to create a new VIDEO series for their online magazine Verve Social Magazine!  The fashion video series, “Fashion Fridays”, will showcase different ways to wear the season’s hottest trends, styling tips on everyday wear, and street style!  I’m the host of this fashion video series and I’m so proud of our first video!

Styling at Nordstrom Rack!

This past Thursday was not a normal day, I styled all the mannequins at Nordstrom Rack!! :) The managers wanted me to style the mannequins with the latest Summer trends and though it was pretty stressful and overwhelming at first, I tackled this new opportunity head on and had the most fulfilling time doing so.  It was such a rewarding experience and I am so proud to share this experience with my wonderful readers.  Take a peek at the behind the scenes & results from my day of styling the mannequins! Featured: Marshalls

This past Wednesday I was featured on Marshalls’ Facebook page!! I bought this adorable Free People dress from Marshalls about 2 months ago and fell in love when I first saw it.  The sheer sleeves, ruched bodice, and adorable lilac color was the perfect romantic-dress for Summer.

It was originally $180 but I got it for $59.99! Great deal right?? Marshalls is one of my go-to stores for finding trendy AND affordable pieces.  The best part is they get new inventory every week so it’s good to stop by at least once a week to see their new arrivals before they sell out!
