I found this gorgeous lilac lace Free People dress at MARSHALLS! :) Gotta love Marshalls, they have such great brands and products with affordable prices. The lace sleeves and ruched bodice create a very ladylike outfit.  I love how precious this dress looks and feels, and I decided to complement the dress by pairing it with nude sandals, a white cross body bag, and stacks of bracelets. :)

Lusting Over: Silk & Cotton Separates

Lately, the consistent 70 degree weather days have made me crave more shorts, loose blouses, and sandals more and more.  I’m loving cotton and silk separates this season, it’s lightweight and easy to mix and match different layers together for a unique, summer worthy look. ;) How amazing is this Isabel Marant jacket?? The shape, the prints, the colors…it NEEDS to be in my closet now! Dare to mix prints and colors this Summer, this outfit achieves a subtle way to incorporate prints and colors together.  The trick to pulling this off is to pair prints that are in the same color family.

Happy Tuesday everyone!  Today’s outfit is a special one, I was asked to be the featured May Blogger for JCPenney‘s birthstones campaign! Since it was my birthday this month (as you may remember here), I was gifted this beautiful emerald necklace and gift card from JCPenney!  With the gift card, I bought this gorgeous pink/salmon loose blazer from MNG by Mango’s collection in the JCPenney stores! It fits so well and has a great shape that is a perfect layering piece for those Summer days! :) I will be featured on JCPenney’s Chictopia page later this week.  Thank you so much JCPenney, it was so much fun to shop and create a unique look that was inspired by my birthstone!

I also introduced a special guest in today’s post, my adorable yet crazy dog Buster!  He is such a model. ;)

I hope everyone had a great Memorial Day Weekend! It was so great to visit my family back in the Bay Area for a fun filled weekend!  Sunday was my sister’s Bridal Shower, which was Saved by the Bell/80′s themed! My boyfriend and I dressed up as Zack Morris and Kelly Kapowski. ;) Here are some of the pictures from the party:

YAY It’s finally Friday! :) Today I’m especially excited because I finally get to fly home to the Bay Area (Northern California) and visit my family! This weekend is jam packed with family obligations.  Tomorrow is my boyfriend Kyle’s sister’s high school graduation at my alma mater. I can’t wait to see my high school teachers again! And Sunday is my older sister’s Bridal Shower! It’s definitely a family filled weekend and I can’t be even more excited.

Today’s outfit is very chill and has a pop of statement prints with my floral shorts! I lovee all of the Forever 21 bottoms, their jeans and shorts fit so well on me and it’s also a big plus that they’re so affordable! :) I love this classic blouse with black lining, it works for going work, relaxing on the weekend, or going out with friends! Such a great buy!

Today’s finally the day! DJPremium‘s Vacation Getaway lookbook will be live today on DJPremium.com and I can’t wait to share it with you all. :) It’s been a long journey but I’m especially proud of this lookbook, more than any other project I was in charge of. Can you tell I’m still obsessed with mint this season? It’s such a flattering color and I’ve always been a sucker for pastels. I love this sweater, it’s insanely lightweight, high-low hemline, and the holes make it a perfect layering piece this season! And these white textured shorts from No Rest for Bridget are just as comfortable, which is exactly what I need shorts to feel like! Don’t you hate it when shorts don’t fit right? The worst. ;P

Happy (or not so happy?) Monday everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend, I’m still recuperating from my eventful one.  Saturday was filled with running errands all morning, a GREAT meeting with the amazing Janet from ShopModerne, and I celebrated my friend’s birthday in downtown.  Sunday was even crazier, I styled an amazing editorial with Stephanie Williams (stay tuned for some sneak peeks!) and that lasted pretty much the entire day.  There were great clothes and a great team overall.

Today’s outfit captures the beauty of wide leg pants.  Trust me, it’s really hard to pull off but I love the shape of it and how it just moves in the wind.  I paired it with a shimmery top and my neon necklace which I’m in love with!!

Woohooo it’s finally FRIDAY! :) Yesterday we shot DJPremium’s Summer lookbook and it turned out AMAZING.  It was a special shoot because we featured the amazing fashion bloggers, Olivia from Lusttforlife.com and Adam from IamGalla.com! It was great to meet such inspirational people in fashion and it was so inspiring to watch them style and create looks for their “vacation getaway”.  After months of planning, conceptualizing, and prepping, the lookbook was a complete success.  I love my team and collaboration definitely pays off. I will post behind the scenes pictures soon, so stay tuned. :)

Today’s outfit is pretty simple and casual chic.  I played with shades of light brown with my beige leather jacket, leopard shorts, and peach silk top.  I added a punch of neon with my choker necklace, which made it more of my style. ;) I loveee these leopard shorts from No Rest for Bridget, they’re incredibly comfy AND stretchy (bonus!) and it’s a great staple piece for those hot summer days.
