Today’s Outfit: Mint on Mint

Yes, there’s something different about me in today’s outfit post…I got hair extensions!!! ;) I asked my good friend Trai Nguyen who’s a hairstylist to help me dye hair extensions in an ombre effect.  It was my first time really experimenting with hair dyes, it was such a fun experience and I’m so anxious to get more extensions and wigs haha.

These leopard printed shorts and mint green blouse work so well together in such an unexpected way.  Both from No Rest for Bridget, which has the most trendy and affordable clothing, these two pieces are my staple pieces this Summer!

Happy Monday! I’m especially excited since this Saturday is my birthday (woot woot Cinco de Mayo!).  Can’t wait to spend time with my friends and loved ones <3

I’m sorry I haven’t posted a new outfit in awhile!! :( This week has been so busy, but I’m prepping for more amazing looks next week, so stay tuned! This Insight kimono has such a gorgeous floral print and the color palette has the right feminine touch for this look. :)

Editorial: Stephanie Williams

This past Sunday I took a mini roadtrip to beautiful Laguna Beach with my dear friend and talented makeup artist, KC. :)   I was especially excited/nervous/anxious/giddy that day because I was working with Stephanie Williams.  Her photography style is very soft, feminine, and captivating.  I have admired her work ever since I saw it on ShopRuche.com and fell in love. It truly was an honor working with such a talented and creative team!

I styled a very whimsical-inspired editorial, filled with lace, sequins, beaded details, and flowy pieces. I loved mixing all the different textures together, and playing with layering.  Natalie was such a trooper during this crazy shoot (it was really cloudy and windy that day) especially for that last shot in the water!! I had the best time and these teaser pictures made it so worthwhile. <3

Featured: Audrey Magazine

Yesterday I found out I was featured on Audrey Magazine’s website for their “Audrey Style Gal”! Audrey Magazine is a quarterly magazine created by Asian Americans for Asian American women.  They discuss social issues and reinforce the Asian American roots to their readers, whether it’s through fashion, news, or media.  They are such an influential magazine for Asian American women, and I’m so excited to be featured this week! :)

WOOHOO TGIF!! :) The sun is out and skies are blue…all I can think about is when I get off from work and enjoy the beautiful weather in sunny San Diego!  This week has been so hectic, I am prepping for an amazing editorial shoot in Laguna Beach this weekend with a very talented team, and work has been crazy busy!  I’m just thankful I can relax for a little bit tonight with great company before my busy weekend!

I am in love with this textured dress from YA Los Angeles!! The rose petal-like details on the front are so different and it gives this simple dress a great texture that complements well with the style! Yesterday I had a a hair play date with my good friend Trai who is a great hairstylist!! We were playing with my extensions and I can’t wait to show you what we are working on!  It’s going to be amazing. ;)

It’s already Monday?? Took me forever to get up this morning, but my cup of coffee definitely helped me out. ;) I hope everyone who went to Coachella had the best time, I was vicariously living through all of your Instagram posts haha! Today I’m wearing these incredible floral jeans from Insight and this Wildfox baggy tee/dress from Moderne!  The mix of these two channels the 70′s, and mixing it with these floral sandals adds my own kind of touch to this outfit. I’m having so much fun mixing and matching prints together and I think it’s totally worth buying printed & colorful sandals for an instant POP of color! <3

WOOHOO It’s FRIDAY!! :) TGIF, except for the rain coming this afternoon haha. I am channeling “daytime elegance” for today’s outfit post with these gorgeous Lovers + Friends mesh body con dress and blazer.  This is definitely a night-appropriate outfit that can work for daytime with its nude and white colors. I am in love with the collar trend this season and this jewelry collar necklace from Forever 21 was the perfect finishing touch to this elegant outfit. :)

Also!  Looklab is an online styling website in which people get to ask fashion advice and tips from fashion insiders (I’m happy to be one of the fashion insiders!) from around the world. It’s such a great site to see what other fashion insiders suggest for people and it has recently been featured on the HUFFINGTON POST! :) Check out the article here!
